John Ferriter

Chairman & CEO, The Alternative

April 15, 1960 - July 25, 2019

John Ferriter was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Alternative, a Management and Production Company located in Los Angeles, California. Prior to forming The Alternative, John was Managing Director of Octagon Entertainment, a division of The Interpublic Group, for five years, after having served as Executive Vice President Worldwide Head of Non-Scripted Programming, and a Member of the Board of Directors, for The William Morris Agency. John began working for Willian Morris in 1991, and represented some of the biggest names in the field of television. He sold, packaged or produced some of the most successful Television Programs in history, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Garth Brooks Live From Las Vegas, Miss America, Project Runway, The Biggest Loser, The Weakest Link, The Man Show, It Gets Better, The Tom Green Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, Piers Morgan Live, Erin Burnett Outfront, Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, Name That Tune, Donny & Marie and many, many more. His clients over the years included Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Piers Morgan, Garth Brooks, Dick Clark, Mike Love & The Beach Boys, Ryan Seacrest, Nancy O'Dell, Jimmy Kimmel, Jeff Probst, Arsenio Hall, Holly Robinson Peete, Topher Grace, Erin Burnett, Trish Regan, Donny & Marie Osmond, Jeff Foxworthy, Mario Lopez, Lance Bass, Heidi Klum, Cat Deeley, Billy Bush, Pat O'Brien, Larry King, Jules Asner, Jerry Springer, Candace Bushnell, Montel Williams, Tom Green, Larry The Cable Guy, Dan Savage, Whitecherry Entertainment, Glenn Weiss, and Mike Wolfe (American Pickers), amongst others. John became a member of the Stageplays Board in 2006, and served on the Board until his untimely death in 2019.
