READING SERIES 2011-2012

New Plays Reading Series:  This year, Stageplays will present 5 plays in staged readings as part of our annual New Plays Reading Series.  The New Plays Reading Series is an extension of the development process, designed to workshop plays under consideration for production in rehearsed, staged reading presentations before invited audiences and industry professionals.  The New Plays Reading Series gives Stageplays the ability to engage and involve our audiences throughout the year with our development process.  The New Plays Reading Series also provides playwrights and actors the opportunity to present their work in a professional context designed to stimulate constructive feedback in furtherance of the developmental needs of the play.

May – Old Songs Remembered by Allen Davis III

June – Someone Should Kill That Bastard Bran Bentley by Albert Meglin

September – Benefit Performance, a play with songs, by Paul Enger and Tom Ferriter

October – Our Kind of People by Steve Gold

November – Thunder and Lightning – by Ivan Comer, Taylor Hallman and Tom Ferriter
