Michael Ferriter

Michael Ferriter
Lieutenant General, U.S. Army

Michael Ferriter was appointed Commanding General at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Ft. Benning, Georgia, after serving with the 82d Airborne Division, XVIII Airborne Corps in Baghdad, Iraq. Upon his earlier promotion to Brigadier General, Michael served as Assistant Division Commander-Operations, 82nd Airborne Division. As Colonel, Michael served as Deputy Director, J3 Operations, U.S. Joint Forces Command, before promotion to Executive Assistant to the Commander U.S. Joint Forces Command, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. Michael Ferriter’s military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses and the Army Command and General Staff College. He is a Senior National Defense Fellow from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Michael’s awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge and the Expert Infantryman’s Badge. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Citadel, and a Masters degree in Business from Central Michigan University. Michael has served on the Stageplays Board of Directors for the past three years.
